Join to apply for the Construction Management Data Analyst role at DPR Construction Job Description DPR Construction is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Self Perform Work (SPW) division. The SPW division manages craft workforces for scopes such as Concrete, Drywall, Electrical, Interiors, and Waterproofing. The analyst will partner with field supervisors, foremen, project managers, and corporate leadership to build data strategies, deliver actionable insights, and drive data‑driven decisions across integrated business processes. Strategic Partnership / Roadmap / Execution / Delivery Collaborate with SPW business partners and other business units to align data analytics efforts with objectives. Create, maintain, and execute the data analytics roadmap for SPW. Lead conversations with stakeholders to understand pain points and document requirements. Develop relationships and gain deep understanding of processes, tools, and goals. Provide guidance on data‑driven insights leveraging construction management knowledge. Proactively develop long‑term solutions to current pain points. Visualization / Storytelling Align on business requirements with. Create and maintain dashboards and apps as needed. Deliver actionable insights to improve processes and drive strategy. Track usage metrics to gauge adoption and impact. Perform ad‑hoc analysis as required. Troubleshoot Issues / Failures Identify root data integrity issues across source systems, data warehouse, and reports. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the visualization tool. Data Modeling and ETL Create complex data models in visualization tools; perform transformations. Query the data warehouse using SQL for rapid analysis. Clean data and add new datasets to the warehouse. Identify potential integrations between source systems and the data warehouse. Collaborate with technical analysts to build DBT and warehouse view requirements. Documentation Work with Data Engineering to develop and maintain the data catalog. Document queries, transformations, and report refreshes. Security / Governance Implement and enhance data security and governance guidelines. Create and maintain security for DFLs. Grant access to DFLs, reports, and apps as needed. Create and maintain RLS in the visualization tool. Set security requirements with business stakeholders for build and view access. Change Management Perform impact analysis on reports when source system or table changes occur. Quantify and communicate impacts to stakeholders. Coordination / Collaboration / Prioritization Identify opportunities for data collaboration and integration across disciplines. Coordinate alignment with other T&I groups. Identify AI/ML/Data Science opportunities and collaborate on delivery. Prioritize requests based on business impact and resource availability. Participate in Integrated Workgroup meetings to align support functions. Training / Data Literacy Train end‑users on interpreting dashboards and reports. Train users on building reports themselves. Provide on‑job training to business stakeholders. Work with Data Engineering to develop self‑service analytics tools. Increase data literacy through targeted trainings and conversations. Identify opportunities to improve data literacy throughout DPR. Data SME Serve as the subject matter expert on data availability, quality, processes, and technology. Maintain understanding of the data pipeline architecture and articulate benefits and limitations. Ensure source of truth systems are identified and operational. Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience. Experience with the construction industry is strongly preferred. Experience with self‑perform teams is strongly preferred. Experience with construction project controls (Earned Value Management, productivity, schedule, cost) is strongly preferred. Passion for data and business intelligence principles to optimize outcomes. Proven track record translating business pain points into data requirements and solving complex problems. Analytic skills including data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization. Ability to create data models and understand dependencies between source systems. Experience with Power BI (required) and dataflows. Experience consuming client‑side APIs (REST and GraphQL). SQL scripting experience required. Advanced business acumen and knowledge of typical company operations. Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, visual), and analytical skills. Success in building trusted relationships with internal and external clients. Drive to adapt to changing environments and take on varied responsibilities. Compensation and Benefits In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the salary range for this role. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skill set, experience, and performance. Salary is one component of DPR's total compensation package.
