American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter Agency: Priority Cares Home Services LLC Location of Work: New York City – all five boroughs (in-person & video interpretation) Hourly Rate: $40 – $60/hour (based on experience & certification) Responsibilities Provide accurate, culturally sensitive ASL interpretation for DSS/HRA/DHS staff, providers, and clients. Support both video and in-person interpretation appointments. Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Follow agency dress code and professional conduct requirements. Use approved video platforms (Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp) for virtual sessions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Interpretation, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field (preferred). RID, NIC, or equivalent nationally recognized certification in ASL interpretation. Minimum 2 years of verifiable professional ASL interpreting experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
