More About The Role
Greet and welcome patients and sustain their comfort while providing education during treatment.
Conduct thorough patient health‑history reviews to support quality care.
Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act.
Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
Prepare treatment rooms with strict safety protocols, following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

About Bear Canyon Family Dentistry

Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
Dental‑assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification, if required under the state dental practice act.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Will receive regular HIPAA training and be responsible for protecting PHI and maintaining data safeguards.
Preferred Experience
1+ year of experience in a dental setting.
Experience using Dentrix or other dental software.
Dental‑assisting school certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
All new hires in dental office positions must complete a TB test prior to starting employment (not applicable in FL & TN).
