Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures by charting and setting up appointments. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to OSHA standards Take digital dental x-rays Maintain accurate patient records Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care Perform tasks such as iTero scanning, zoom whitening, making night guards. Manage inventory and supplies in the dental office Qualifications Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program or 1-2 year minimum experience. Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques Experience with doing ZOOM Whitening iTero Scanning Experience. Knowledge of prosthodontics, general dentistry, endodontics and Invisalign.
