What You'll Be Doing Helping out the dentist during different treatment procedures Getting patients ready for treatment and making sure they are comfortable Taking and developing dental x-rays Assisting chairside and doing four-handed dentistry Teaching patients about oral hygiene Skills You Need Must be X-Ray Certified Experience with Chairside Assisting Knowledge of Expanded Functions Skilled in Four-Handed Dentistry Ability to do Coronal Polishing Skills That Would Be Nice to Have Experience with Sealants Knowledge of Dental Prophylaxis General Dentistry skills Ability to do Fluoride Treatments Technical Skills You Should Have Certification in Nitrous Oxide Experience with Sealant Placement Familiarity with Dentrix software Ability to provide Oral Hygiene Instruction Skilled in Chair Side Assistance Salary and Benefits For this position, depending on experience.
