It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns. Position Summary Obtains appropriate specimen by venipuncture, MMH breath test, micropuncture or oral swab from all patient age groups in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings for laboratory test analysis. Performs all clerical functions required to maintain work area in a customer focused, efficient manner. Correctly orders test information into the LIS. Qualifications One (1) year full time phlebotomy experience preferred. Competencies 3rd shift Phlebotomist incumbents will be cross‑trained in Lab Aide duties to supplement business needs on an as‑needed basis only. Certain designated assignments require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (appropriate as outlined in the Eastern Connecticut Health Network’s Environment of Care Safety Policies and Procedures #110) maintain a driving record free of any violations and pass a safe driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter.
