Job Summary
Choice Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Coordinator to manage day-to-day financial operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting while supporting leadership with financial insights and analysis.
The ideal candidate is comfortable owning core accounting functions, working independently, and collaborating closely with operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update accurate financial records, including general ledger, journals, and bank statements
Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial statements
Conduct variance analysis and report on financial performance
Support the VP of Operations with financial analysis, trends, and recommendations
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner
Reconcile AP and AR balances
Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
Reconcile balances with vendors and customers
Perform regular bank reconciliations
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
Compliance, Auditing & Tax
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Assist with internal and external audits
Support preparation and filing of tax returns
Ensure timely tax payments and sales tax compliance
Administrative & Operational Support
Provide administrative and financial support to the operations team as needed
Participate in financial meetings and provide regular financial updates
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred
Experience supporting audits and tax filings
Experience with sales tax compliance
Familiarity with procurement or vendor management processes
Additional Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to make independent decisions when required
Strong sense of integrity and professionalism
