Assists patients by responding to requests and obtaining needed services from nurses, physicians, and other team members. Provides information by answering inquiries, relaying calls, providing directions, and referring inquiries to nursing and physician staff. Listens attentively and provides information in a respectful manner to ensure understanding. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing responsibilities as needed. Maintains department operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes. Monitors stock to determine inventory levels, anticipates needed supplies, places and expedites supply orders, and verifies receipt of supplies. Keeps department equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures, notifying appropriate departments when repairs are needed. Operates office equipment such as computers, fax machines, phone systems, copy machines, scanners, and label printers with skill and efficiency. Communicates clearly and effectively to customers and members of the healthcare team. Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements High School Grad or Equivalent. BLS CPR Certification. RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement.
