Meharrry Medical College is hiring: Dental Assistant in Mission

· Performs clerical duties, receives patients, arranges appointments and records treatment.· Performs all other related duties as assigned.· Professional and courteous, ability to multi-task and knowledge of dental terminology and HIPPA.· Knowledge of names and use of dental instruments and equipment.· Knowledge of basic methods of dental record keeping and reporting.· Knowledge of sterilization/infection control techniques and procedures.· Knowledge of record keeping and reporting.· Working knowledge of equipment and instruments used in Dentistry.· Ability to maintain adequate inventories supplies.· Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with faculty, residents, students and other employees.· Ability to evaluate and assist Faculty, residents, students in chair procedures.· Ability to understand technical and medical nomenclature.· Ability to file alphabetically and numerically.· Ability to relate to the public in a tactful and courteous manner.· Ability to accomplish other duties within the scope of a dispensary clerkasassigned by the supervisors· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.# **About Meharry**Meharry Medical College was founded just 11 years after the end of the Civil War with the mission of educating African Americans to serve the underserved.
