Phlebotomist I – Quest Diagnostics Location: Ellensburg, WA Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pay Range: $17.90 – $20.35 / hour Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation. Responsibilities Collect specimens according to established procedures – drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams. Administer oral solutions according to established training. Research test/client information and confirm all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools. Navigate a computer and accurately enter data. Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order. Perform all non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email. Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required. Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs timely – maintenance logs, temperature logs, etc. Complete online and in‑person training courses timely. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience One year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. Qualifications Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination will be required. State phlebotomy license required; Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington. The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
