Phlebotomist II Position type: Full-time Contract Location: IL_2LC_3003 Civic Circle Blvd, Marion IL 62959 (Onsite) Duration: 3 months Shift: M-F 8a-4:30p DAY/CENTRAL Responsibilities Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures. Maintain direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures. Draw blood specimens in a skilful, safe and accurate manner. Verify patient demographic info/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to ensure tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct. Maintain required records and documentation. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Work Experience Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington. 6 month to 1 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. Pay Range & Benefits Pay Range: $21- $25.00 per hour.
