Join to apply for the HR Generalist role at TERREPOWER (formerly BBB Industries) 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Description The HR Generalist manages diverse day-to-day HR functions, acting as a key contact for employees, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, employee relations, training, and policy enforcement to support organizational goals and a positive work environment. Responsibilities Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to payroll, time & attendance, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; training and development. Supports audit activity and internal audit scheduling for HR compliance items. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments—implementing and improving internal tracking as needed. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Administers new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Maintain an understanding of site turnover and improvement initiatives. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex and/or sensitive matters to HR Manager and leadership as appropriate. Leads, attends and participates as appropriate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices for local site; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law working with HR Manager and corporate shared services. This role supports multi-sites within the Greater Nashville location and will be primarily based in Sparta, TN. Perform other related duties as needed and directed. Some time on shop floor exposed to manufacturing environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. SHRM-CP a plus. Site HR leader experience a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
