GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing broad-range support in all functional areas of Human Resources at facility in which they reside, including recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, benefits administration, employment law, and organizational development and training. Works under general supervision of Human Resources Manager/Director. Primary functions typically require exercising independent judgement. Does not have direct reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer general Human Resources support to include staffing, benefits, compensation, compliance, and employee relations.
Provide strong Human Resources guidance in dealing with performance issues, utilizing J.J. Taylor policies and procedures to guide the managers in solving employee relations issues.
Has a clear focus on recruiting the best talent for exempt and non-exempt positions that align with our strategic objectives.
Provide counsel to employees and management to maintain a productive and positive work environment, including career and succession planning.
Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
Participates in New Hire Orientation.
Manage the creation of job descriptions, interviews, job offer recommendations, and employee announcements.
Conduct employee investigations as needed and ensure timely and responsible resolutions.
Assist with the maintenance and accuracy of Human Resources data in HRIS.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Maintain current knowledge of EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines and laws, such as ADA, and provides data to corporate as needed.
Stays abreast of emerging regulatory changes impacting Human Resources.
May take lead in specific functional area in Human Resources in support of entire organization.
Aids in preparing and filing reports of accidents and injuries, as well as assists in root cause investigations as needed.
Provides backup to HR Assistant(s) and/or HR Manager as needed.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities :
Assists Human Resources Manager/Director with miscellaneous HR tasks and/or projects.
Performs any additional duties as assigned by Human Resources Director and/or Vice President of Human Resources.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations :
Bachelor’s degree required or in process of obtaining.
3-5 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
Proficient in all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
