Position Overview
Responsible for highly complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely close of the general ledger. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
Responsibilities
Prepares and posts journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and budget variance reviews.
Researches and analyzes assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal/external reporting.
Ensures general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes‑Oxley.
Leads internal and cross‑functional teams on major initiatives/projects including process improvement, regulatory compliance changes, and policy recommending innovative solutions.
Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level professionals.
Complies with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required.
Five (5) years experience in accounting and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills required.
Outstanding knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web‑based applications.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including presentation skills.
Location
The position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.
Pay Transparency
$65,000.00 – $85,000.00.
