Architecture Task Lead at PCI Federal
Base Pay Range $150,000.00/hr - $200,000.00/hr
Location Fairfax, VA
Responsibilities
Produces and maintains an enterprise architecture vision.
Produces and maintains enterprise architecture principles and organizational standards.
Tracks inventories of major organizational assets and features, both current and target (aka "operating model").
Tracks relationships between major organizational assets.
Produces and maintains the "transition plan" aka roadmap or modernization roadmap or transformation plan.
Directs, supervises or mentors others in performing enterprise architecture activities.
Maintains a repository of these items.
Supports portfolio management of transformation programs and strategic planning, tying these together.
Participates in or leads related governance activities.
Participates in or leads related architecture maturity management activities, and maintains the enterprise architecture framework(s).
Participates in segment (line of business) and solutions architecture where needed.
Analyzes current strategy, plans, transformational investments, business plans, portfolio and architectural information to determine if activities comprehensively support strategy and/or mission (alignment), and proposes improvements.
Qualifications
Education:
Master's Degree in enterprise architecture, or multiple certificates in enterprise architecture. An MBA with a separate technical degree can substitute for this requirement.
Clearance:
Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
Experience:
Broad knowledge of:
History and background of enterprise architecture
Research evolution and potential future of enterprise architecture
Theory and concepts of enterprise architecture (in both technology and management)
Frameworks
Related Activities (especially governance and maturity management)
Understands the current architectural tools, industry standards and development techniques and has demonstrated experience in producing architectural models in these tools
SysML
DoDAF
Deep knowledge of at least one of the following, and a working knowledge of the remaining areas:
Business (operational) architecture, especially business process modeling
Data architecture
Application architecture (at lower levels of detail this is software architecture)
Infrastructure & technology architecture
Security architecture
Service taxonomies
Web Ontology Language (OWL)
Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) 2.0, DoD Primitives conformance class
Ontology development
