Dover Behavioral Health System
is a 104‑bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dover, Delaware. It offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Over 10,000 patients receive care each year.
Responsibilities
Safely and timely transport patients or visitors to and from specified locations.
Conduct safety inspections of company vehicles prior to and after each transportation.
Address vehicle maintenance and repair needs in accordance with established procedures.
Oversee the safe storage and transport of patient medications.
Run errands, pick up supplies, and make deliveries as requested.
Maintain transportation logbook and other documentation associated with services provided.
Identify, document, and report any and all instances of adult or child abuse and neglect to the appropriate parties, including a member of management, the police, and state agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination education and experience.
Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience with de‑escalation techniques and behavior management of children, adults, and adolescents.
