Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the US. We have a Parts Warehouse Supervisor position available in San Antonio, Texas. The hours are Mon‑Fri 7 AM‑5 PM and Saturday once a month. The role is available on‑call as needed.
Responsibilities
Performs parts counter functions (customer orders/returns, backorder analysis, shop action pending reports, customer action pending reports).
Performs parts warehouse functions daily (inventory stock order recommendations/processing, vendor invoice coding, inventory receipting, surplus returns and reconciliation, core processing, warranty parts returns, bin/cycle counts).
Assists the Parts Manager with implementation, control, and accomplishment of the parts operation business plan to achieve parts sales goals.
Assists the Parts Manager with directing the parts personnel by setting workday and after‑hours schedules, time reporting, counter coverage, monitoring overtime.
Performs administrative functions (cash account reconciliation, reporting, department audits).
Supervises the Parts Department operations.
Works safely at all times, adhering to safety policies and company procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Computer and related software knowledge.
Experience with parts systems, processes, policies, procedures, and compliance.
Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with internal and external customers.
Skill in using mechanical lifting devices in warehouse operations.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and conceptual skills.
Time management and organizational skills.
Ability to define performance measures and hold associates accountable.
Ability to identify complex problems, develop options, and implement solutions.
Consulting and influencing abilities.
Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, agencies, and the public.
Ability to perform arithmetic computations.
Ability to use handheld devices such as communication or measurement devices.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Accounting, Business Management, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Minimum of three years of related experience.
Forklift certification required.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position directs and manages the Parts Counter Representative, Warehouse Clerk, and Cashier/Clerk positions. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, coaching and development, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Travel
Travel up to 10% with possible overnight stays.
Valid driver’s license.
