Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high‑quality care that truly impacts our patients’ well‑being and recovery. You will provide individualized, comprehensive care, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical decision‑making to determine the need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence‑based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
Evaluates progress toward attainment of desired patient outcomes.
Job Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire.
Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire.
Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 days.
Where You’ll Work Welcome to Saint Joseph East, a 217‑bed, full‑service community hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. The hospital includes the Women’s Hospital and a 16‑bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Saint Joseph East is part of CHI Saint Joseph Health, a non‑profit Catholic health system serving 24 states.
Pay Range $30.00 – $43.50 per hour
