Location 3100 E FLETCHER AVE, TAMPA, Florida 33613
Responsibilities Passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures. Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants, and helps in draping sterile field. Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed. Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures. Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures. Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization. Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient. Performs other duties as assigned. Communicates supply problems appropriately and restocks supplies for the unit as needed. Works with RN and team members to provide safe patient care and handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy. Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately. Scrubs, gowns, and gloves to maintain sterile technique. Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)
Basic Life Support - CPR Certificate (BLS)
RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
EV Accredited Issuing Body, Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC)
Pay Range $21.56 - $40.09
