Your Role as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Discovery ABA As an RBT, you will implement ABA therapy programs developed by a BCBA, providing one‑on‑one therapy to children with autism in home and community settings in Virginia. You'll help clients develop essential social, emotional, and life skills while collaborating closely with caregivers and the clinical team to ensure consistent treatment implementation.
Responsibilities
Implement ABA therapy programs focused on skill acquisition and behavior reduction
Collect and analyze data to track client progress and inform treatment plans
Work with caregivers and team members to ensure consistent therapy implementation
Participate in supervision and ongoing training provided by BCBAs
Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for clients during therapy sessions
Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all interactions
Qualifications
Previous experience in the ABA field is required
Previous Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician experience
RBT certification (or in progress) is strongly preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team‑oriented environment
