Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team of mechanical engineers and designers to deliver high‑quality design for technically challenging and rewarding projects. We expose our engineers to a variety of complex projects, arming them with the experience, resources, and support to succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing engineering calculations including HVAC load calculations, fan static pressure analysis, hydraulic calculations/modeling, and isometric analyses.
Performing field surveys and assisting in the development of HVAC and Central Utility system layout and design, in coordination with Lead Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Designers.
Coordinating with other discipline engineers, architects, client representation, facility operation personnel, and contractors for engineering and design requirements.
Conducting facility infrastructure assessments, infrastructure/utility master planning, and performing code and energy evaluations.
Developing airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, zoning plans, and classification plans.
Assisting in the development of equipment specifications, based on company standards and in coordination with specific client and equipment vendor requirements.
Reviewing equipment submittals and shop drawings, preparing responses to contractor RFIs, and creating punch lists based on field observation.
Assisting the Lead Mechanical Engineer and Chief Automation Engineer on the development of Instrumentation and Control Design for Mechanical systems.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
5‑10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities
A knack for and interest in solving complex engineering problems
Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
Proficiency in computerized HVAC load calculation and energy software
Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Professional software
Team‑orientation and collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Science, and Laboratory industries
FE Certified, PE Licensure
Interest in high‑profile, technically challenging work
Experience working for both engineering firms and industrial corporations
Desire to build and run teams
