Overview Lead Embedded Software Engineer role at Arlington, Virginia. The team focuses on low-level embedded systems for Linux and Android operating systems. We seek experienced engineers to develop mobile and fieldable solutions.
Responsibilities
Advance proof-of-concept R&D technology to operational, fieldable solutions
Build test automation using Gitlab for range deployments and solution evaluation
Develop APIs and interfaces bridging software and hardware technologies
Support scalable and modular design methodology
Engage in technical exchanges with transition partners and key stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related scientific domain
8+ years of experience with modern development languages: C, C++, Embedded C, and Rust, using an agile software development process
8+ years of experience with operating systems internals (privilege and user groups, binary memory layout, namespaces)
Experience leading a small technical team of engineers and researchers
Active US Security clearance of Top Secret level and ability to obtain and maintain SCI
Ability to work on-site at Arlington, VA headquarters
Nice to Haves
Basic understanding of memory management concepts (Heap, Stack, Virtual Memory, MMU, Physical vs. Virtual)
Experience with testing, CI/CD pipelines, and virtual machine test ranges
Experience with firmware/driver development across Linux and Android OS’es
Experience in a client-facing technical role
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related scientific domain
Clearance Requirements
Active US Security clearance of Top Secret level and ability to obtain and maintain SCI
Salary Range $176,800 – $265,200 USD (annualized)
