Day to day as a Heavy Equipment/Forklift Mechanic As a Heavy Equipment/Forklift Mechanic at R&R Solutions, you will be instrumental in upholding our high standards of vehicle maintenance and repair. This role involves applying your technical skills to perform comprehensive servicing on our commercial vehicles, including heavy equipment and forklifts.
Key responsibilities encompass conducting regular preventative maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations, as well as executing both minor and major repairs on our fleet of service trucks. You will work closely with our collaborative maintenance team to diagnose mechanical issues, plan efficient repairs, and ensure a safe and organized shop environment.
Maintaining a clean workspace and moving vehicles safely between areas are also part of your duties.
Would you be a great Heavy Equipment/Forklift Mechanic? To excel as a Heavy Equipment/Forklift Mechanic at R&R Solutions, you must possess a variety of critical skills and qualifications.
High school diploma or GED required.
Clean driving record with a valid driver's license required.
ASE Certifications preferred.
Must own your own tools required for the trade.
Operate equipment used in the repair or servicing of vehicles and equipment.
Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50‑75 lbs (often heavier with assistance).
Ability to work in cramped or awkward positions for extended periods.
Excellent hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills for precision tools.
Exposed to loud noises and temperature extremes.
Frequency of grease, oil, dirt, fuels, fumes, and chemicals; strict adherence to safety protocols.
Regular use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, and hearing protection required.
Work well with a team.
Communicate clearly and effectively.
Remember, safety is paramount; adherence to safety protocols and regular use of PPE are mandatory.
