Field Service Representative – Drives/Industry

Responsibilities
Servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment.
Perform warranty work and start‑up service.
Conduct Startup/Commissioning on Schneider Variable Frequency Drives.
Test, calibrate, check, correct, adjust, and replace parts on customer drive products.
Construct and test circuits and equipment using computers, workstations, circuit diagrams, and test instruments.
Provide technical support in product service, training, and applications, including on‑site audits.
Support serviceable Schneider equipment such as electrical switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, Drives, power monitoring equipment, protective relays, and other evolving products.
Document all required information for each site (technical report).
Optional Additional Tasks
Analyze complex problems in equipment and machinery, interpreting maintenance manuals and systems knowledge to isolate and correct faults.
Assist in developing design modifications, implementing changes, and providing installation support.
Develop and deliver training courseware to customers and service representatives.
Travel for training and to meet job site requirements in other areas.
Qualifications
Vocational education, military training, or transferable experience in electronics, electrical theory, or a similar discipline.
3+ years of relevant mechanical, electrical, and/or power distribution service experience with technical proficiency in electronic/electrical component theory.
Experience writing reports and presenting information to managers, clients, and customers.
Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Experience in testing, maintenance, and/or upgrades of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and/or Soft Starts.
Experience servicing Drives and/or Soft Starts with regard to start‑up and repair preferred.
OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
MSHA training (Parts 46 and 48) is a plus.
Ability to interpret blueprints and various electrical drawings.
Capacity to move service equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
