Base Pay Range
$20.00/hr - $27.00/hr
Job Purpose The Final Inspector will ensure all end products conform to contractual and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Assist with final product visual and chemical analysis.
Use micrometers, calipers, Pi tapes and snap gauges.
Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining final inspection procedures.
Confirm that real weight agrees with expected weight.
Check that all WMS machinery is properly serviced before startup.
Assist in repair and replacement of WMS equipment during maintenance shutdowns.
Assist with documentation and/or technical devices for recording production and findings.
Communicate with supervisor about any problems with material and equipment.
Assist in housekeeping and quality.
Assist in training plant personnel.
Report to immediate supervisor for briefing on daily tasks.
Maintain good housekeeping ethics; keep work areas free and clear of debris.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required).
1 year of experience in quality control or a 2‑year college degree in technology.
Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe industry preferable.
Proficient reading, writing and arithmetic in English; strong computer skills.
Ability to organize large amounts of data and multi‑task several priorities with excellent time management.
Capable of using MS Office, especially Excel; ability to learn an ERP system.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
Flexible or rotating schedule; may require overtime.
Understanding of all applicable location safety rules and regulations; ensures compliance.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Typical manufacturing environment.
No loose-fitting clothes or jewelry on site.
Ability to lift 25–50 pounds regularly.
Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
Ability to climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
Work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
Vision 20/20 when corrected.
Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
