Job Summary
The Leasing Professional is the community’s front‑line ambassador, responsible for creating a welcoming experience for prospective and current residents. This role focuses on building strong relationships, showcasing the property, and guiding prospects through the leasing process with professionalism and care. The Leasing Professional also supports resident satisfaction, retention, and overall community success by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a thorough understanding of leasing operations and market trends. Essential Job Functions
Maintain the leasing office and model apartments to the highest standards of cleanliness and professional appearance. Ensure an adequate supply of leasing materials, forms, and marketing aids at all times. Greet, qualify, and tour prospective residents; effectively present the features and benefits of the community to secure new leases. Professionally handle all phone and email inquiries, ensuring prompt and courteous follow‑up. Collect application fees and deposits in accordance with company policies (no cash accepted). Accurately explain lease agreements, policies, and procedures to new residents. Verify completion of all move‑in documentation and coordinate move‑in dates with the Community Manager. Generate, understand, and utilize daily, weekly, and monthly leasing reports. Maintain knowledge of local market conditions by shopping competitive properties and monitoring rental rates. Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, merchants, and referral sources. Promote resident retention by assisting with renewal efforts, resident events, and community communications. Conduct move‑in follow‑ups to ensure resident satisfaction. Consistently uphold Fair Housing laws, company policies, and professional standards. Arrive to work on time, maintain a neat, professional appearance, and demonstrate courteous, respectful interactions with residents, prospects, and team members. Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic proficiency with computers and property management software. Experience with Entrata is a plus. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to handle and take in formal complaints and elevate them to the appropriate manager. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Must maintain a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance if job duties require a vehicle or golf cart. Working Conditions
Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise. Ability to work from multiple locations. Benefits
