D’Asign Source (www.dasignsource.com) is a family-owned custom residential design and build company in the Florida Keys. We provide comprehensive services—including architecture, construction, interior design, and landscaping for new homes and renovations.
Position Summary
The Junior Accountant supports financial operations and daily accounting tasks. This role assists with billing, payables, receivables, maintains project cost records, and helps with financial reporting for construction and design projects. Working with senior accountants and project managers, the Junior Accountant enhances efficiency and service for staff and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and customer payments
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
Help with inventory and cost tracking
Assist the accounting team with reporting, audits, and special projects
Assist with setting up and maintaining project information in the Acumatica ERP system.
Help monitor project costs, identify basic variances, and communicate findings to senior accountants or project managers as needed.
Assist with processing subcontractor billing information and accurately record payables under supervision.
Support the project administrator in maintaining compliance documentation such as insurance coverage and licensing requirements.
Help research and post incoming change orders and assist with monthly contract revenue reconciliation.
Prepare change orders, subcontracts, and communicate with subcontractors.
Record basic project cost reclassifications following review and direction from senior accounting staff.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least 2 years of accounting experience preferred; internships or entry-level roles considered.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 applications, familiar with ERP accounting software solutions.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Detail-oriented and eager to learn.
Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment
