Site Coordinator - Elementary School Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico

Full-time, Non-Exempt

Location: Central New Mexico

Salary: Starting at $20/hr, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary The Site Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Boys & Girls Clubs after‑school program at an assigned elementary school. The role ensures a safe, nurturing environment, develops program activities, supervises staff, and maintains relationships with school administrators, parents, and the community. The Coordinator works closely with the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department to ensure compliance and family participation in the childcare program.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

Plan, develop, and implement engaging and educational programs aligned with the organization’s mission.

Ensure activities are age‑appropriate, culturally inclusive, and meet diverse student needs.

Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, adjusting as needed.

Staff Supervision

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff, including instructors, volunteers, and support personnel.

Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development.

Conduct regular staff meetings and facilitate communication.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure student safety by adhering to policies and emergency protocols.

Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and required documentation.

Comply with local, state, and federal childcare regulations.

Parent and Community Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with parents, guardians, and school staff.

Encourage parent application to the ECECD childcare program.

Communicate student progress, program activities, and upcoming events.

Collaborate with school administrators and community partners to enhance program offerings.

Administration

Manage the site budget, order supplies, and control expenses.

Prepare and submit reports to Boys & Girls Clubs leadership and school administrators.

Participate in fundraising activities and events as needed.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, social work, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Experience

Minimum 3 years in youth development or education, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Skills

Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Certifications

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Background check clearance.

Additional Requirements

Passion for working with children and youth.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
