We are partnered with a growing accounting firm undergoing an ownership transition to help them hire a Client-Facing CPA to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a great opportunity for a CPA who enjoys growing trusted client relationships and wants long-term growth without the burnout typically associated with public accounting.
Defined As a Client‑Facing CPA, you will serve as a primary point of contact for clients while supporting a thoughtful, multi‑year transition of relationships from the current partners. You will focus on delivering high‑quality accounting and tax services, supported by administrative staff, a part‑time preparer, and virtual assistants handling lower‑level work.
Why This Role Is Essential This role is critical to ensuring continuity and trust as ownership transitions. You will help reduce the workload of the current partners while preserving strong client relationships, allowing the firm to transition smoothly and grow sustainably. Your work directly impacts client retention, partner satisfaction, and the long‑term success of the firm.

What You’ll Do
Serve as a primary client‑facing CPA, building long‑term relationships
Gradually transition client relationships from existing partners
Deliver accounting and tax services with support from internal staff and virtual assistants
Work independently while maintaining strong communication with partners
Help reduce partner workloads to support a sustainable 40–45 hour workweek
Contribute to long‑term firm growth with the opportunity to step into a Manager role
Skills and Competencies – Required
Active CPA license
Approximately 3+ years of public accounting experience
Strong client communication and relationship management skills
Comfort working independently with established clients
Professional, reliable, and relationship‑oriented mindset
Skills and Competencies – Desired
Experience in a small or boutique accounting firm
Exposure to client transitions or succession planning
Interest in leadership and long‑term growth
Enrolled Agent (EA) credential or interest in pursuing EA
