Senior Accountant
to oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support leadership with strategic financial insights. This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, project‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee full‑cycle accounting including GL, AR, AP, payroll, and month‑end close
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain job cost accounting and work‑in‑progress (WIP) schedules
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management
Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Manage vendor relationships and payment schedules
Coordinate with CPA firm on tax filings and audits
Implement process improvements and strengthen accounting systems
Provide financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
(construction or trades industry strongly preferred)
Solid understanding of GAAP and job‑cost accounting
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation, etc.)
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑driven
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
Integrity and confidentiality are essential
Preferred Experience
Construction / contracting / roofing industry
Multi‑entity accounting
WIP reporting and project costing
Payroll processing for field and office staff
