Loan Booking & Funding Specialist

Summary
The Loan Booking & Funding Specialist has the ability to handle standard loan booking and funding. This specialist provides support to other associates, documents procedures, researches and corrects issues. Good people skills, dedicated to excellent customer service and diverse background.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to process standard commercial, Seacoast Business Solutions, consumer, consumer real estate, and Seacoast Marine loans: upload loans using computer systems or hand book if necessary. Balance and process monetary transactions as needed. Perform necessary tracking and performs all follow‑up activities required. Work closely with branch personnel to ensure accurate and timely booking of new loans.
Provide support for users of loan systems/operations and coordinate with Team Leader to communicate system changes or problems to all areas of lending and customer service personnel affected. Report perceived weaknesses and problems requiring attention to be addressed by management.
Receive faxed/emailed requests for commercial loan revolving line draws, verify availability of funds, and process draws.
Assist with the creation/testing of systems, procedures and reports to control, balance, and monitor the accuracy of the loan system database and general ledger accounts.
Answer external customer and in‑house inquiries regarding all Booking/Funding department functions, keeping customer service a priority at all times. Research problems, reverse payments as required, and make necessary corrections.
Education and/or Experience
High school graduate, some college preferred.
Five or more years general banking experience, including a minimum of 3 years experience in Loan Booking and Funding functions with demonstrated knowledge of all types of commercial, consumer, and residential loan servicing functions and of accounting principles.
Possess strong PC skills; Word and Excel, or equivalent. Ability to transfer skills to other software programs.
