Loan Servicing Processor 1 - Consumer Five Star Bank

Location: South Wales, NY

Base Pay Range $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Purpose The Consumer Loan Servicing Processor 1 is responsible for booking and maintaining all consumer related loans on the banking system. The position will maintain all adjustments and revisions to the loans throughout the life of the loan and verify that proper documentation is received and/or filed to ensure the intended collateral for the loans is secured.

Essential Functions

Perform thorough review of all file information related to consumer loans submitted for booking, ensuring receipt of required loan documentation and obtaining corrections as needed.

Establish new consumer loans on the banking system, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with bank lending policy. Make corrections as required and ensure booking procedures are correct.

Maintain loans as requested, including unposted items, charge‑off, shadow account processing, automatic funds transfer, reversals, due date changes, fee assessments, deferments, account verification, and over‑draft protection maintenance. Set up and maintain ACH.

Process payments, returns and maintenance as necessary in accordance with loan terms.

Provide support to bank staff on loan accounts, responding to customer service phone calls and assisting with loan questions.

Perform next‑day review on all maintenance performed by other processors, based on requests from other departments or errors found.

Maintain collateral accounts to reflect proper collateral control using the Collateral Tracking system and third‑party system to track and follow up on identified exception items.

Demonstrate Five Star Bank standards and principles in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, stakeholders, and incorporate high‑performance behaviors of teamwork, leadership, and service.

Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

1+ years in Customer Service.

Licenses or Accreditation: Specialty Area (if applicable).

Preferred

Associate Degree in Business or related field.

1+ years in Banking Environment.

Licenses or Accreditation: Specialty Area (if applicable).

Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.

Able to lift 20 lbs.

Extensive computer usage is required.
