Position Summary The Medical Group Revenue Cycle Analyst has the unique opportunity to contribute to a positive work environment, working independently within a collaborative team. The primary responsibility is to expedite clean claim and rebill submissions and to follow up vigorously to secure payer reimbursement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies electronically or by paper Research and resolve claim holds and denials Work with patients to obtain current and accurate insurance information Contact insurance regarding claim status, denials, underpayments, and recoupments Research and resolve outstanding claim issues and patterns Submit appeals for denied claims Submit medical records and other documentation requests to insurance Ensure timely payment of unpaid account balances Maintain adequate accounts receivable procedures in accordance with law and policy Contact patients or physician offices to obtain correct billing information Contact patients when needed to process claims Work with payors to resolve incorrect payments Complete appeals promptly Read Explanation of Benefits Answer billing office phones Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Data entry skills and working knowledge of computers required Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills Proficient in examining documents for accuracy and completeness Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Ability to handle payment in accordance with detailed instructions
Desired Qualifications 3–5 years of medical background
