Alliance Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our corporate team in Far Rockaway, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) accounting and be ready to play a key role in managing the financial operations for a growing healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage general ledger functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close.
Prepare financial statements and reports for corporate leadership.
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions as needed.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards.
Collaborate with facility‑level staff and administrators to support financial accuracy.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Work closely with auditors during annual reviews and regulatory filings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Prior experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) accounting required.
3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, Medicaid/Medicare, and cost reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
