Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of monthly financial statement consolidations and quarterly reporting packages for senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Coordinate and review monthly financial reports from property accountants to maintain consistency and integrity in financial data.
Assist with SEC filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Produce journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and manage general accounting duties to support financial operations.
Maintain the general ledger and support the integration of new acquisitions to streamline financial processes.
Prepare supplemental financial schedules and assist in variance analysis for internal reporting.
Support external financial audits by providing necessary documentation and insights as needed.
Qualifications Must-Have
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting and/or private company accounting.
Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Nice-to-Have
CPA certification or in the process of obtaining licensure.
Experience in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) preferred.
Familiarity with acquisition integration, revenue recognition, and ASC‑742 standards.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
