Quest Diagnostics is hiring for the Phlebotomist II position in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).

Location & Schedule Los Angeles, CA – Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends.

Pay Hourly: $23.70 – $26.20, plus potential annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams, etc.).

Administer oral solutions as trained.

Research test/client information, confirm and verify all orders using lab technology, client contact, and approved tools.

Accurately navigate a computer and enter data.

Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments per corporate policies.

Process specimens (label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, prepare for transport) as required.

Perform non‑patient facing duties (inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, using email).

Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.

Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.

Maintain phlebotomy logs timely (maintenance logs, temperature logs).

Complete required online and in‑person training courses on time.

Qualifications

Three years phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric, capillary collections).

Keyboard/data entry experience.

Flexible and available for staffing needs including weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
