2nd Shift: 01:45 PM – 11:15 PM (Monday – Friday)
Position Summary Mazak CNC Machinist with Program Set Up Experience
Operates various conventional and numerically controlled machining centers on semi‑complex jobs on CNC machines, such as lathes, 3 & 5 axis mills, etc.
MAZAK machines are used at the site; additional equipment is coming if the person has machining experience on a MAZAK – please state this on the resume.
Responsibilities
Operates conventional and CNC machining centers, including 3‑axis lathes, 5‑axis lathes, and mill machines.
Reads and follows blueprints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal instructions, and engineering, tooling or equipment information.
Performs machine set‑up, program set‑up, and independent configuration on MAZAK machines.
Contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs (KAIZEN a bonus).
Works with limited guidance in a team environment; demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Applies machine shop mathematics, may include trigonometry.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of machining experience.
Minimum 2 years of MAZAK specific machining experience.
At least 1 year of independent and unsupervised responsibility to set up a MAZAK machine.
Experience with 3‑axis and 5‑axis lathes, and mill machines.
Strong knowledge of machine set‑up and CNC programming.
Education High School or equivalent.
