Data Center Technician – Mechanical & Electrical

Join CBRE as a Data Center Technician, performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation.
What You’ll Do
Assist daily site inspections of mechanical, engineering, and technical systems.
Ensure site environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs.
Collaborate with third‑party vendors, ensuring compliance with processes and regulations.
Alert management if subcontractor performance does not meet requirements.
Perform planned preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC‑related client problems.
Conduct building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities.
Provide fixes for facility and plant faults and defects.
Follow safety processes and regulatory requirements for comprehensive maintenance records.
Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
Complete required training to ensure successful completion of all responsibilities.
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
Deliver output by following defined procedures under close supervision.
What You’ll Need
Training in a technical discipline or apprenticeship with 1‑2 years of related experience.
Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical capacity to meet job requirements.
Effective presentation of information to internal and external stakeholders.
Basic work routine and standard application skills.
Strong communication skills for straightforward information exchange.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Basic math skills for simple calculations.
