The ideal candidate is a roll-up-your-sleeves consultant who thrives in fast-paced environments can flex between detailed accounting execution and analytical finance projects and adapts quickly to shifting priorities.
Location Austin TX hybrid in office
Job Type Contract (2-3 months)
Hourly Rate Market
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Controller Chief Accounting Officer and finance leadership
Support month-end close activities including preparation and posting of journal entries in Oracle
Perform and / or assist with balance sheet reconciliations and related variance analysis
Provide ad hoc FP&A support including building templates and schedules and preparing analyses in Excel
Assist with special projects such as financial analysis for potential acquisition targets
Deliver clear status updates and documentation to leadership
Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Oracle (ability to navigate post entries pull reports)
Advanced Excel skills (building models / schedules; strong comfort with large datasets)
FP&A exposure a plus (budgeting / forecasting support variance analysis)
Demonstrated ability to work independently prioritize and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines
Comfortable with both detailed work (journal entries account reconciliations) and higher-level analysis
Experience supporting organizations in transition (PE-backed acquired or fast-changing environments) is a plus
Flexible as priorities change
