Are you a hands‑on mechanical engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment? We're looking for a detail‑oriented, solution‑driven professional to manage and improve facility mechanical systems that keep our operations running smoothly. This is your chance to step into a key role where your expertise will directly support manufacturing success and sustainability. This position starts in Tempe, AZ but will move to Peoria, AZ to support a new facility.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and overseeing the design of HVAC systems for cleanroom facilities
Overseeing automatic control systems to ensure optimal performance, quickly identifying and resolving issues to maximize efficiency
Maintaining and monitoring inventory of key tools, materials, and instruments—ensuring everything is on hand when needed
Regularly inspecting equipment and systems, creating preventative maintenance schedules, and tackling troubleshooting with confidence
Developing clear documentation, from PM work plans to training materials, to keep everything running like clockwork
Ensuring regulatory compliance by managing permitting processes for equipment installation and operation
Overseeing utility supply (electricity, water, gas, etc.) for production lines—optimizing for efficiency, reliability, and minimal waste
Preparing project bids with clearly defined scope, schedule, budget, and technical specs—ensuring the right partners are selected
Supervising on‑site work with a focus on safety and quality—resolving issues quickly and providing clear guidance to teams
Monitoring and managing the full range of utilities distribution—power, steam, gas, water, compressed air, fluids, and control systems
Ensuring all equipment and systems meet manufacturer guidelines and environmental safety standards
Step into emergency response team (ERT) support and taking on additional tasks as business needs evolve
What You Bring to the Team
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Associate’s degree considered with additional hands‑on experience)
Trade certification a big plus
3+ years of experience being involved in the design of HVAC systems for clean rooms (this can include clean room facilities for many different industries)
3+ years of experience maintaining and operating process systems—industrial or high‑tech facility experience strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of mechanical and utility systems in advanced manufacturing environments
Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and standards, and how to apply them in day‑to‑day operations
Expertise in systems like chillers, boilers, air abatement, cleanroom HVAC (temp / RH / particulates), and automation
Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow procedures precisely
