Primary Purpose of the Position The Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Materials Science at Fayetteville State University seeks temporary (adjunct) instructors to teach introductory and service courses in chemistry, physics, geology, and the physical sciences for science majors, as well as nursing and other non-science majors. Adjunct positions are employed for one semester of one year only on a part-time or full-time basis.
Responsibilities
Teach introductory and service courses in chemistry, physics, geology, and the physical sciences for science majors.
Teach courses for nursing and other non-science majors.
Deliver courses using online education platforms (beneficial experience).
Qualifications
Ph.D. or Master’s degree with 18 credit hours in the desired teaching discipline.
All degrees must be from accredited institutions.
Experience with online education delivery is beneficial.
Individual programs require specific licensure/certification.
Additional Information for Applicants All new employees are required to have listed credentials/degrees verified prior to employment. Transcripts should be provided for all earned degrees and/or the degree which is being used to satisfy credential/qualification requirements.
