We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Sr. Crew Chiefs/Survey Managers to lead field survey operations for heavy civil infrastructure (highway/bridge) and power/energy projects around the US.
You will lead survey teams on projects ranging from $50 M to $1 B, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the field.

Survey Manager will support projects in the Colorado region and other states in the Central United States (CO, MT, WY, NM, ND, SD, NE, KS, MO, IA, MN).
The position requires willingness to travel to project sites as needed and occasional visits to the district office in Lone Tree, Colorado. Responsibilities
Oversee all surveying operations for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications. Develop and implement surveying plans, methodologies, and best practices to optimize field data collection and layout. Lead a team of surveyors and field personnel, providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to align design intent and field execution. Utilize advanced surveying technology (GPS, total stations, LiDAR, drones) to capture and analyze data. Conduct quality control checks to verify survey accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements. Manage survey data processing and integration with project management and BIM software. Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, logs, and documentation for project records. Ensure all survey activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and company policies. Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance in all surveying activities. Troubleshoot and resolve survey-related challenges on site, adapting to changing conditions. Use Trimble Business Center and CAD (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation) for calculations and keying elevations. Communicate effectively with superintendents, field crews, engineers, project managers, and clients. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is an asset (we assist with certification). 10+ years of field construction survey experience and leadership of survey crews. Proficiency with Trimble Access/Business Center and survey equipment (GPS, total stations, LiDAR, drones). Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry for calculations (area, volume, circumference). Advanced experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation) and GIS platforms; proficiency with MS Office Suite. Dynamic thinker, self‑starter, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally. Comfortable with outdoor fieldwork in varied terrain and weather; physically able to lift equipment and perform manual tasks. Committed to safety and doing the work right the first time. Other Requirements
Regular, reliable attendance. Meet deadlines and complete work within given hours. Communicate professionally with supervisors, employees, and others. Perform work safely and follow instructions and policies. Work normal hours; overtime and weekends as required. Work may be at various locations with varying conditions. Compensation and Benefits
Base Compensation: $90,000 – $150,000 (subject to variation based on education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
