Manual Machine Operator
who bridges the gap between old-school craftsmanship and modern innovation. If you take immense pride in "doing it right the first time," you belong on our production floor.
The Role: From Blueprint to Component You will be a key player in our production process, utilizing manual machinery to bring complex, high-precision parts to life.
Machine Operation:
Expertly operate
manual lathes, mills, grinders, and ProtoTrak systems .
Setup & Inspection:
Set up jobs independently and verify all dimensions using high-precision measuring tools to ensure every part meets client expectations.
Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret complex
technical blueprints
and detailed work instructions.
Tooling & Maintenance:
Select the proper tooling for each unique job and maintain equipment to ensure peak performance.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, including job logs and
SPC (Statistical Process Control)
forms.
What You Bring to the Shop
Proven Experience:
5+ years
of hands-on experience in a machine shop environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of machining speeds, feeds, and
MIL-SPEC standards .
Math Mastery:
Proficiency in machine shop math and
basic trigonometry .
Blueprints & Logic:
Exceptional blueprint reading skills and mechanical problem-solving abilities.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and thrive in a typical machine shop setting.
Education:
High school diploma required; trade school or a completed apprenticeship is highly preferred.
