Job Type:
Full-Time Exempt
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, standard business hours
Targeted Pay Range:
$60,000–$75,000 per year.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop strategies to establish and maintain appropriate inventory level based on sales history, demand, availability, etc.
Research, investigate, and analyze new product sales opportunities that address market demand and support L&M's goals.
Develop strategic plans to drive sales volume, profit margin, and inventory turns of assigned category lines.
Research, analyze and select product vendors.
Develop merchandise advertising pricing guidelines and promotional pricing guidelines.
Place and manage the placement of special orders based on customer requests.
Attend buying shows and participate in vendor meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field AND minimum of 3‑4 years of retail buying experience.
OR 2‑year degree in Business or related field AND 7 years of retail buying experience.
