Casualty & Mass Tort Litigation Paralegal
Summary
A law firm with multiple offices across Louisiana and Texas is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support Energy & Environmental matters. This role provides comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation and requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support attorneys from case inception through discovery, trial, and closure
Prepare and file pleadings; assemble and manage exhibits
Draft and respond to discovery requests
Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, and mediations
Review and summarize depositions and medical records
Manage case calendars, deadlines, and dockets
Assist with document collection, review, and production
Coordinate electronic discovery and work with litigation support tools
Required Skills & Attributes
Strong communication, organization, and analytical abilities
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
Technical proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Relativity or similar e-discovery platforms preferred
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred
Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience
Thorough understanding of the full litigation lifecycle
