Responsibilities
Manage maintenance operations for equipment, buildings and grounds in Lenni and Garnet Valley
Plan and maintain timely execution of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and special projects in Lenni and Garnet Valley
Maintain manufacturing equipment and utilities in proper working order, identify repairs and replacement parts as needed with input from operations and maintenance teams
Maintain the CMMS for maintenance and provide reports as needed for ISO/internal audits
Proactively assess the needs, identify and select multiple vendors/contractors for maintenance of equipment, facilities, work areas, building and grounds
Plan, assign, schedule and supervise the work of vendors and contractors performing any services in the plant/building/grounds, including correction of defects in work completed by contractor/vendor
Plan, assign, schedule and supervise the work of power linesmen, electricians and helpers engaged in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of company power lines, electrical systems, fixtures, apparatus, and appliances
Conduct periodic inspections and provide on-site supervision over hazardous or unusual work assignments; assure availability of equipment, materials and supplies
Estimate the time and material costs required for projected jobs; keep costs and job records and submit reports to the company’s controller monthly; initiate requisitions for supplies, tools and equipment
Requirements Personnel Management
Manage all aspects of the Maintenance team (operations, work organization, communication, attendance)
Assess employees’ performances and actively contribute to the promotion, re-allocation
Identify recruitment’s needs, communicate them to the Director-Engineering Management and HR Director, participate in the hiring of new maintenance team members
Mentor team members and liaise with other departments to create a productive, respectful, and collaborative work culture
Maintain a high degree of transparency of operations within the maintenance department
Quality / Regulatory / Safety
Maintain ISO standards of all production equipment
Maintain quality level of all production equipment
Facilitate and manage inspections, audits, certifications and any other processes / actions that are necessary to meet code/regulatory requirements across the plant
Active participation in safety committee meetings
Encourage all employees to report “near/miss accidents”
Maintain safe working environment throughout the facility
Highlight safety concerns across the plant/offices in the safety committee meetings
Organizational activities
Prepare weekly meetings with Director – Engineering Management to provide management reports and feedback
Take ownership of special projects as assigned by the Director – Engineering Management.
Proactively work to ensure the team is employing the 5S methodology in their workshop and their workspace, wherever that might be in the plant, building or the grounds
Communication activities
Ensure good dialogue within the team, encourage feedback and report them as needed
Be the link between Management and the Maintenance team
Improve and develop processes and machines in collaboration with other department managers and directors
Required education and work experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree Equipment / Electrical / Mechanical / Maintenance
5 years of professional maintenance experience showing progressive levels of responsibility.
Valid Driver’s License
3 years associate’s degree (preferred)
