Job Description and Duties
Perform advanced digital forensic examinations, including analysis, reconstruction, and data preservation of electronic information systems such as hard drives, servers, cellular phones, network devices, and cloud platforms.
Collect, process, and present findings as part of criminal, civil, pre‑litigation, and litigation investigations.
Prepare forensic reports, maintain case files, and conduct peer review of case work.
Appear in court as a subject‑matter expert or witness to provide expert testimony.
Provide technical expertise and project management for complex IT solutions that support forensic investigations.
Recommend policy and procedure improvements to ensure the integrity of forensic processes.
Travel within California and occasionally out‑of‑state as required.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in digital forensic analysis, best practices, data storage, and information security.
High-level initiative, independent judgment, and strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Strong communication skills for preparing reports and court testimony.
Competency in case‑file management and peer‑review processes.
Knowledge of healthcare fraud investigative procedures is highly desirable.
