Job Overview
We are seeking Pipefitters to join our self‑perform team for ongoing work at the Mayport, Florida military base. The position is paid at the Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage specific to Mayport and requires work on a military installation. Candidates local to the area within reasonable commutable distance are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and plan all piping systems on an active construction site, ensuring compliance with relevant codes.
Apply pipefitting principles using appropriate equipment while adhering to required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Pay & Benefits Hourly rate: $49.09.
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision coverage, 401(k) with match.
Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. (minimum).
4+ years field or trade experience as a journeyman‑level pipefitter in commercial, industrial, or facilities operations; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
Experience: mechanical pipe installation, deep underground work, start‑up and energizing (boilers, chillers).
Valid pipefitter license or journeyman card preferred.
Current welding certificate.
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA‑10‑hour certifications required; training available.
