Maintenance Mechanic A
International Paper is inviting applicants for the Maintenance Mechanic A position.
Pay Rate:
$25.76/hr - $35.26/hr (Based on experience and qualifications)
Category/Shift:
Hourly Full-Time (Monday-Friday with weekends as needed). Must be available to work all shifts.
Shift Times:
1st Shift: 7a-3p; 2nd Shift: 3p-11p; 3rd Shift: 11p-7a.

The Job You Will Perform
Follow all safety rules and practices.
Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.
Perform emergency or breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations.
Accurately use measurement and test equipment.
Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, and clean up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.
Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.
Troubleshoot and solve problems.
Exhibit excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem‑solving skills.
Willingness to fully cross‑train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
Willing to work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Minimum Qualifications
A high school degree and at least two years of successful mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility.
Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry is highly desirable.
On‑the‑job success in safety, attendance, and quality of work.
Strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, electrical, and electronics technologies.
Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem‑solving skills.
Willingness to fully cross‑train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
Willing and able to work any shift, call‑ins, holidays, and overtime.
Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.
Prior to employment, all candidates will participate in a testing process that includes a written and hands‑on test, structured panel interview, background check, and physical/drug testing.
