Overview Design and implement robust firmware solutions that drive the success of our lighting products. From concept to production, lead firmware development, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop innovative, robust firmware solutions for complex challenges independently.
Lead software development and maintenance for one or multiple projects, spanning from concept to end-of-life.
Design and implement software solutions for both production and R&D projects.
Develop firmware in C, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Design, simulate, and test embedded applications using Simulink.
Define, enforce, and adhere to software development standards, including modeling and coding practices, documentation, and testing methodologies.
Provide support for production-related firmware issues and electronics purchasing concerns.
Demonstrate working knowledge of schematic-level electrical design and hardware interactions.
Implement CAN communication protocols efficiently, aligning with product requirements.
Drive the adoption and automation of Model-Based Software Development (MBSD) using MathWorks tools.
Develop end-of-line testing mechanisms and software to support SMT and manufacturing processes.
Create C++ or Python-based PC applications and automation scripts.
Qualifications
5+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
Proficient in C and experienced with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
Deep understanding of CAN, UART, and other industry-standard communication protocols.
Experience with Simulink, Model-Based Software Development (MBSD), FreeRTOS, or embedded cybersecurity (root certificate chain of trust, HSMs) is highly desirable.
